Martynyuk Alexey, an IT Project
Manager
I have been learning English at
Baker Street Club for 1,5 years. It is optimum for
me because, on one hand, I don't spend much time on
studying, and on the other hand, I feel the real
progress. I like my teacher and the education
process and I think, we will be together for a long
time

Plahotnik Alla, a Housewife
I have been learning English at
Baker Street Club for almost two years. In my
opinion, it is ignorance not to know English
nowadays. When I just came to the club, my intention
was to learn basic English for travellers. But I got
so interested, that English became my hobby. Now I
don’t just want to say things in English, I want to
communicate in this language

I have been the client of Baker
Street Club since October, 2008.The personality of
the teacher has always been of great importance to
me. I used to be afraid of teachers at school and
when I came to Baker Street Club, I had the same
fears. But after a few lessons the situation changed
and since then it’s been like talking to a friend –
I am relaxed and enjoy communication. Last year I
entered university and I think it is a pleasure to
associate with teachers.

I have been with Baker Street
Club since October, 2004, because I like English in
general and I have always wanted to speak it
fluently. I am loyal to this club as I like its
atmosphere, teaching methods and the level of
English I have obtained. I don’t have a possibility
to speak English at work, therefore I attend 1
lesson a week to maintain my fluency. I like
travelling, I have friends abroad, and the language
opens the world to me.

Zaporoshchenko Alexandra, a
Regional Manager
I
have been with Baker Street Club
for 5 years. I had visited many different schools,
before I finally made my choice. I wanted to find
the place, where I would feel good. I didn’t have
plans for long-term studies, but I am still here and
it has become an essential part of my life. Once you
get here, you don’t want to look for anything else.
It is like staying at a luxury hotel, knowing it is
the best place for you to be. |

Pashchenko Olga, a Lawyer
I have been studying here since
2004. When I came to the Club, I knew nothing about
English, as I didn’t study it at school. The first
one and a half years were devoted to hard work and
intensive training. Then, there was a break of about
2 years when I had my second baby. I returned to my
studies when my son grew up a little. Now my goal is
to maintain the level I have reached, because I like
travelling and have no problem communicating with
the people I meet all over the world. |

HAVE
FUN!
Waiter, waiter, what
soup is this? It’s bean soup, sir. I don’t care what
it was. I want to know what it is now.
Waiter, waiter,
what’s wrong with these eggs? I don’t know, sir. I
only laid the table.
Waiter, waiter, will
the pancakes be long? No, sir, round.
Waiter, waiter,
what’s this fly doing in my soup? The breaststroke,
I think, sir.
Doctor, doctor, will
you help me out? Certainly, which way did you come
in?
Teacher: I wish you’d
pay a little attention. Pupil: I’m paying as little
as I can.
Did you hear about
the teacher who was cross-eyed? She couldn’t control
her pupils.
Teacher: You should
have been here at 9 o’clock. Small boy: Why, what
happened? |
